This book, “Reflections in the Key of Life” about the life of Steve Madaio is fascinating. I was an organist/pianist with famous rock bands in the 1960’s, and this brought back so many memories for me. I enjoyed reading and reminiscing about what it was like to be behind the scenes at Woodstock, and also how major stars interacted with the people around them in recording studios and on tour. For instance, Steve went into detail about his tour with the Rolling Stones, and how they communicated with each other on stage through gestures while the show was going on. Madaio was literally everywhere, in all the major sessions on most of the major hit records during the golden years of rock and soul. He somehow stayed relevant well into the 21st century, recording with Muse and Maroon 5, and finally uniting with Eric Clapton on some albums. The segment on the Rock & Roll Hall of fame is great too. I highly recommend this book!
